2022 Georgia Theatre Conference R. Lynn Wooddy Festival Best Play winner for “9 to 5: The Musical.”
Last year, under the artistic direction of Mr. Brett Taylor, the HCHS Theatre program won the R. Lynn Wooddy Festival Award for Best Show at the Georgia Theatre Conference, brought home an unprecedented third consecutive region title, AND earned the coveted title of 6A State Champions - the first state championship for theatre in the school’s history!
We are excited to annouce four incredible shows for the upcoming season with something for everyone! And NEW for this year, we are offering advanced online ticket sales for all mainstage shows.
Producing a world-class theatre program is expensive - $20,00-$30,000 per year. We're fortunate that our county and school are supportive of the arts, but the reality is that our theatre program is mostly self-funded.
We are excited to annouce several opportunities for our patrons, parents & alumni, businesses & comunity can help us maintain the standard of excellence these students deserve.
